Wow!!! After last week, I am pretty pumped about my spring cleaning run, especially after last week!! Was able to put a nice dent in my bottle cap stash PLUSS I got to use up an old test piece that I had forgotten about!! If you missed it, click Popped a few too many tops to check it!!
Since I still had one more test piece of a cabinet door…..what am I to do with this one? It is sooo much smaller!! (insert glowing light bulb here) I still have bits of tile from when we did a small kitchen makeover. Why not do a similar idea to my patio tray?
Still truckin’ with this spring cleaning…if ya weren’t here last week, I used up some bottle caps to make us a handy serving tray for our backyard festivities. Click here to check it out. Turned out pretty awesome if I say so myself.
Now what to do with this left over tile from the kitchen makeover. It is just too pretty for me to toss out!! Join me tomorrow to see how I make this the “center” of attention!!!Much Love – Jessica
Ohhhh it’s that time of year…the sun is shining, birds are singing, flowers are-a-bloomin’….yep, it’s spring…spring cleaning season to be exact!!! Time to get knee-deep in dust and suds giving this house a major overhaul. Except this year is a bit different for me, I am about to take on a cleaning out all of my craft and diy scraps!! (insert horror film screams here!) If you are anything like me, this is one thing I absolutely dread, almost as much as the dentist or doing taxes!! We…err I mean…I have way too much stuff!!!
My craft closet
My “good” trash pile
A small, and I mean VERY SMALL, portion of scrap wood pile
Wow!!! Sorry I haven’t been around much this past week…talk about being busy!!! Over the next few weeks I am going to show how I have been busy “spring cleaning” most of my craft and DIY supplies!!! I will kick off tomorrow afternoon with downsizing my stash of bottle caps, with many other easy projects to follow, in the next few weeks, that use up a lot of extras and leftovers (not the meat loaf) that I have around here!!! But in the meantime, check out some of our other handy cleaning tips by clicking on our DIY Organization page!!
Well this may be one of my last touches for my garden (for now anyway). So what better way to do it than let my girls get involved making their little pieces of colorful art for all of us to enjoy!! This weekend just happen to be such a nice one, Jeff was off from work (yay, long weekend), weather was great and the girls were home to spend time with us!!
Like I mentioned last week, I have decided to brighten up my vegetable garden area after years of looking at dead and drab in the “off-season”. And I have to say (no bias here at all hehe) I am loving my dragonfly, even though I did make a few adjustments on how I had it hanging on the fence, still love it. Go check out my post on how to make this simple little cutie (Spring is coming to life)!
like spring…my first pop of color
As much as I love it, I still needed more color. So why not send out a mass invite to some other great bugs, BEES!!! Especially since they are so beneficial to my garden (at least when I actually get my veggies planted). Plus Jeff has already set up a bee hotel (yep, really a hotel) for them on the side of the shed, so plenty of room we do have!!
Mother Nature has decided to go ahead and just lay spring on us with all her glory. Even the not so glorious stuff….mosquitos, wasps, pollen, oh the pollen!! As much as I get frustrated with the usual nuisances I still have far more that I do love and enjoy about spring!! my vegetable garden with my girls, sitting outside on the patio grillin’ it up with the hubs (with a tasty adult beverage of course) and just watching nature wake up from this supposed winter slumber (if you even want to call it that).
