Everything needs a good scrub

Written by Jessica Chaffins

While I am attempting to get dinner going, I decided to share about me scrubbing up some potatoes to get ’em ready for the oven.  I know, I know, what an exciting life I lead. But hey I am all about sharing whatever can help make your tasks easier, hehe.

Last year for Christmas, my mom gave my sisters and me a pair of those exfoliating gloves as gifts.  Yay, I love being able to make myself feeling clean and fresh. But HOLY CRAP!! These suckers hurt!!  Now don’t get me wrong, I am not knocking my mom, cause I am all about bargins too but these suckers do NOT feel that great on your skin.  Talk about some intense skin removal…think lemon zester.  BUT all is not lost….these will work wonders as a veggie scrub brush!!

So to the kitchen they go!!  Tonight they have gotten put to the test.  I already have a scrub brush for my veggies which has worked ok, but has run its course.  It is very worn out and I was holding out on replacing it (to be honest, I am lazy and do not have it on my priority “to-replace” list).   Then a couple weeks ago, my mom posed the idea of using it as a veggie scrub. Hmmm….I thought that would be an awesome idea.  So scrubbing up my taters is what I did……

Have to say…I liked it.  Was so much easier getting to use my fingers to get into those tiny little dimples that these potatoes have. Then I gott to use both hands instead of only depending on a single brush head.  Yay!!  Even took me less time to clean them off.  Grant it, I know it does not take long to clean a tater, but still, when you have a ton going on at one time…seconds count for me hehe!!

Guess I can now take veggie scrubber off my “to-replace” list!!! Thanks momma!!  I always knew I’d learn somethin’ from ya eventually. Now back to finishing dinner up…blah.

We hope that you saw something here today to help you during your own crafting & life adventures. We encourage our readers to share their own projects in the comments as we absolutely LOVE seeing what others were inspired to create. We also kindly ask that comments be polite or constructive.
– Sincerely Renee & Jessica
