EO recipes Part Three

Written by Jessica Chaffins

So here is another essential oil recipe that I wanted to give a try….Scar Eraser.  I am not sure how many of you would find this interesting, but I am.  Little back story so ya can understand why.  About 2 years ago I had a reduction mammoplasty….breast reduction surgery (which has been wonderful if I do say so) and it did leave me some fairly noticeable scars.  I have to be fair though, the areas that are easily noticeable (again at least to me, and well my husband but we are gonna keep this g-rated)  have healed very nicely thanks to the awesome doctor.  The worst scars are the ones not easily seen….ya know, under the boob.  Anyway, I did break down  and get silicone patches which are NOT cheap but they didn’t stay in place very well due to the location…to much movement goin on to stay in place properly.  Soooo needless to say this seems easy enough and just maybe might work wonders, so why not give it a go.

To make the scar eraser I only needed

  • 1/4 cup of whipped coconut oil
  • 10 drops of Frankincense EO
  • 10 drops of Lavender EO
  • 10 drops of Lemon EO

Same as before, need glass or metal bowl for mixing and glass jar for storing.  The recipe recommends you apply this “lotion” 2 to 4 times per day for as long as needed.  I have only had this stuff for about 2 weeks and been applying 3 times a day (no reason why, just a happy medium to me I guess).  Have not noticed much change in the way my scars look but didn’t really expect it to since this scars are pretty big.  Anyway, I will say that I has helped tremendously with the itching….ugh….oh the constant itching.  Only time will tell…and keeping my fingers crossed while I wait!!  But like always I will make sure that I let y’all know how it goes!!

We hope that you saw something here today to help you during your own crafting & life adventures. We encourage our readers to share their own projects in the comments as we absolutely LOVE seeing what others were inspired to create. We also kindly ask that comments be polite or constructive.
– Sincerely Renee & Jessica
