EO Recipes Part Two (and this one I LOVE)

Ohhh I’m back…as promised (late in the evening but I am here housework has called today) with another EO recipe and I have to say that this one is my fav so far!!  Like before this is another super simple recipe!!! Lemon and Lavender Brown Sugar Body Scrub!!! Mmhhhmm so good I could almost eat it (kinda)!!!  ***Same as before with the carpet deodorizer, these recipes need to be mixed in a glass or metal bowl and stored in a glass jar. No plastics!!*** Anyway, back to the body scrub….I have to say that I was a little worried about using this with sugar and all, ugh sticky much?!  Especially since you are supposed to use it AFTER you wash….uhh hmm?!

To make this wonderful scrub you will need…..

  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of whipped coconut oil
  • 8 drops of Lemongrass EO (I didn’t have lemongrass so I just used lemon)
  • 4 drops of Lavender EO
  • glass or metal bowl for mixing
  • glass jar for storage

First I had to whip the coconut oil with the EO’s into a good fluffy texture, this did take me a couple minutes to do but not too bad.  Then I just added the brown sugar and mixed in well.  I do have to admit that me and Renee tested this one IMMEDIATELY and holy cow were we impressed.  We only tested on our hands at the time.  Like I said earlier, I was a little worried about a sticky feel but that did not happen at all, not even close.  BUT I do have to say that it have a little greasy feeling once I rinsed my hands, which is of no shock since it is made with coconut oil.  It did go away after a few minutes of me rubbing my hands together, couldn’t get over the feeling of how soft they were (did I mention how impressed I was).

Then came time for the ultimate test….I applied this during my shower (after washing as the recipe said to do) and did scrub it all over, almost, some places are more gentle than others so I am sure I don’t have to explain this one.  Again wow…I didn’t need to apply any lotion after that one!! This will be wonderful for me during the winter months, since I will dry out so easy.  Lemon & Lavendar Brown Sugar Body Scrub will definitely be part of my shower routine from now on!!!  Another thing I forgot to mention…you won’t come out smelling like some crazy tropical drink.  Jeff doesn’t like the smell of coconut and when he didn’t even notice, I’d say that was another win in my book!!  Also, think this would make a great Christmas gift!!!

We hope that you saw something here today to help you during your own crafting & life adventures. We encourage our readers to share their own projects in the comments as we absolutely LOVE seeing what others were inspired to create. We also kindly ask that comments be polite or constructive.
– Sincerely Renee & Jessica
